Hi all wondering if anyone can help, I've just built my new pc and Havant over clocked at all yet apart from enabling XMP  but the system is very unstable all apps inc games are randomly crashing and i cant even do a aida 64 stress test without that failing (if i just do cpu and not inc cache or memory it works fine but if i try and stress the cache fpu or system memory it fails)

Run everything at stock speeds (i.e. CPU) and default settings and try the test again.

I used default motherboard settings and it still fails :(

If you're running multiple RAM sticks then you could test them one at a time (to try and rule out a faulty stick). Either re-run your stress again, or give memtest86 a go to identify any RAM-specific errors.

tested and all the ram sticks work fine individually and passes the Aidia 64 test

Try resetting the CMOS. I don't know if it will help but might as well.

Make sure to quote me or tag me when responding to me, or I might not know you replied! Examples:

Interested in computer architecture? Still in middle or high school? P.M. me!

I love computer hardware and feel free to ask me anything about that (or phones). I especially like SSDs. But please do not ask me anything about Networking, programming, command line stuff, or any relatively hard software stuff. I know next to nothing about that.

Do you have a spare HDD/SSD to try out, could be a failing hard drive/SSD

its definitely ram related as system runs fine on 2 sticks (8GB) as soon as i pit in the 4 sticks system is unstable and crashes all the time
