Skyrim crashing upon startup..

Go to solution Solved by MourningSouls,

Any mods?

And verify the integrity of the game cache.

    Well, earlier skyrim was crashing every time I started it, so I reinstalled it. It worked fine for about a hour, then in mid game, it crashed again. I don't understand why. It starts the game, then is does the little BETHESDA thing.. then bam, it crashes.  I don't know why. First time it crashed, it was acting like it updated, or there was a % next to the skyrim label on steam..... Which was a really fast download.. but I'm not sure whats going on. But there is no % every other time it crashes... which is upon startup, which appens right after the BETHESDA screen.

  Nope. I actually dusted out my PC today.. and it isn't overclocked. It doesn't happen with other games either.

@MourningSouls

     Yes. I have 7 mods, and how do I veify the integrity of the game cache?

Assuming you have a Steam copy, right click the game name in your library, click 'Properties', then the 'Local Files' tab.

If that doesn't fix it, then it's likely a mod that is the issue.

Uninstall one mod. Verify cache again. Try playing. Repeat until you find the mod that is probably causing issues.

Download loot, it might be your load order. It will tell you which mods are incompatible and can automatically sort it for you. it will also display whether a file is missing for that mod (It fixed all my problems)
