Possible to use shield controller on a amd gpu?

I got my own machine with a r9 390x and the 770 i had before that is in my brothers machine. Is it possible to use the shield controller on my amd gpu?

I have to use the cable to connect to my pc to make it work on my nvidia gpu but on my amd system it finds the controller but i cant use it in-game.

I guess i could try to install a xinput mapper and see if it can detect the controller.

it says right on their website it uses Wifi Direct not bluetooth

 

so its looking for a Ge-force experience server running on the network. so if you just have geforce experience running then it might work?
