PCIe cables slipped out, any damage?

Timmy-P

Long story short, after having some problems with my computer I cracked open the case and found that the PCIe power connectors slipped out (what are they officially called, anyway?); one partly in and the other was disconnected completely.  I put them back in and all is well, but I was wondering if there was any damage that may have occurred to the GPU during that episode.

Anyone?

If the build is working properly, I doubt it.

Wondering how they "slipped out" considering how they have clips on them...

The clips might be mismatched. I ran into this issue with my ASUS 660 Ti's and my Enermax power supply.

Shouldnt have done any damage, but its weird. Its impossible they slip out by themself if installed correct.

I did a CPU+Mobo swap last week, when I reinstalled the GPU I probably put it in 99% of the way and didn't clip.

Thanks for the reassurance guys.
