DDR3 and DDR2 aren't compatible, they are completely different. Are they in the right slots?

If no one's suggestions work, it's faulty RAM.

Some boards have both DDR2 and DDR3 DIMM slots.

On Newegg's website about the board in support of different DIMMs: 4×240pin DDR3 1333(O.C.)/1066/800 or DDR2 1066(O.C.)/800/667

What is the specfic memory? Most kingston ram is 1.65v in the 1600mhz speed, but it may be the same for 1333mhz.

There are motherboards that support both DDR2 and DDR3 on the same board. But of course you could only use one type at a time.

Examples are his board GA-G41-Combo and mine ASRock N68C-GS FX

Try re seating the new ram on the board and what the others have suggested as well. Or test it on another PC. If that fails, faulty ram.

Good enough.
