Looking for decent Bluetooth 4.0 mouse

Hi,

I have just ordered myself a Sony VAIO Pro 13 Ultrabook and I really really hate touchpads in general.

So I was looking for a Bluetooth mouse since navigation through huge .xls and spss files is no fun with a trackpad.

I've got a few requirements:

  • Preferably Bluetooth 4.0 [not too many USB slots on an Ultrabook ^^]
  • Forward / backward thumbbuttons [essential]
  • Preferably laser, eventhough optical > laser, laser will be easier and I won't have to carry a mousepad with me all the time when working at the office

I've discovered the M.O.U.S.9 from Mad Catz, yet I have 3 problems with it:

  1. I'm not too fond of Mad Catz, although I'm willing to give them a 3rd try for all I care
  2. 990DPI max [will probably be fine, using around 2200 on tripple monitor]
  3. 137$ seems an awful lot for a laptop mouse ^^

Any idea? really havn't found anything that jumped my eye as hard as this one... but 140 bucks for a office mouse... meh...

ty ^^

Doenst it not matter what rev. of bluetooth? doesnt 4 only add distance measuring?

Wasn't BT 4.0 more battery friendly? think I just read that somewhere :D

I don't know any Bluetooth mice, usually they have a USB receiver.  Doing a quick search the best I could find is this: http://www.logitech.com/en-gb/product/5747?crid=7 or the Mad Catz M.O.U.S. 9

I have the Razer Orochi (the Pre-2013 version). It has a switch on the bottom to toggle between bluetooth and usb mode (i.e. on/'off' switch).

The 2013 edition comes with some improvements (e.g BT 3.0, better battery lifetime, etc.)

It is really a great mobile mouse and together with the usb cable even better for (mobile) gaming ;)
