How can I add apps and icons to the left side of the Windows 10 start menu?

 

Is there a way so I can have 2 colours with a gradient as the top bar colour?

And just generally, good third party apps to customize windows 10

Other than that only frequently used apps will show in that list.

You can only have links to folders and settings panels at the bottom, and show/hide recent programs at the top area.

You can submit your feedback/feature request to the Windows 10 Feedback app. It will be considered, especially if others up votes it (or if it is already there then simply up votes the suggestion).

There is nothing you can do to do what you want. You can look at Start Menu replacement programs if you want. But that is it.
