Windows 10 Crash on Startup

Go to solution Solved by Rolling Potatoe,

Just do a clean install. Trying to fix that will cost you way more time than plugging in a usb stick and a trip to ninite.com.

A Problem with the gpu/drivers would be my first guess too though.

Well, today I turned on the PC and Windows 10 loaded to this:

So I loaded into Safe Mode and forced a disk check on C. It came up clean.

Next, I used DDU to wipe the AMD graphics card driver.

After wiping the driver in safe mode, the PC now bluescreens with system thread not handled - WUDFRd.sys

I'm back in safe mode, but I'm at all loss as to what to try next. From what I can figure through Google, some driver is causing the issue.

Or should I just give it up and realize that my time on the upgraded Windows 10 is up and I have to suck it up and do a clean install of Windows 10 (I upgraded from 7 to 10, worked fine since August). I was hoping to push off the clean install until Thanksgiving break (more time to do it)

Ah, well, at least it's close to the weekend so I'll have more time to reinstall everything.

Time to start backing up save data / downloads.

Yeah, I also had other strange issues like having 30 Ethernet ports and having all windows resize to exactly 800 x 600 when I turn my screen off or it goes to screensaver.

You don't necessarily have to reinstall Go to Settings->update and security->recovery and choose the first "Get started" under reset this PC I think a good option would be to backup whatever data you have first before you go through this as you'll then have the option to remove all your files and drivers and start fresh its as good as doing a clean install. I'd say try that out first before having to resort to a clean install.
