Do you have something like GeForce experience over riding the settings?

I managed to fix it through GFE I just set it as borderless windowed mode.

I launch the game from the exe or GOG client, but it still just launches minimized, I try to maximise it and it just won't have it.

game settings won't work? Odd - try and reinstall it. Have you downloaded the new patch?

Certain games for some reason do not like to start in fullscreen and will need to be forced. Either by a ini change or a unique thing to that engine/game.

It's the shortcut to toggling fullscreen, I use this when I cant access the menu in the games and the resolution is screwed up.

All games are made to start in fullscreen as well, an update will usually roll in to fix any large scale bugs. If the problem is not fixed, it is highly because of your graphics settings.

Doesn't want to work, it shows up for like a quarter of a second then just minimises again .

This occurs to me when I try to set any steam game into 720p.

 

Redo the installation or change the settings manually in the game directory to start in 1080p.

Sweet! Game on! I finally got back into it recently (college makes it kinda hard) and can't get enough of it. Great game.

Yeah same, just having a little down time, it's been non stop lectures for about 2 weeks or so.
