Samsung is generally considered better, though I have seen hynix push some stupid clocks. Although, iirc people wanted hynix for the old lightning 780 because it overclocked well so I have no idea what's going off. :D

 

I wouldn't make a huge deal about the VRAM brand tbh.

I personally prefer SK Hynix - Samsung memory usually OCs better but I've seen it also have more stability issues with the high clocks.
