GTA V Vsync Problem

Trying to run GTA V with Vsync on at 60 FPS, but my FPS keeps dropping to 30-55 when CPU and GPU are only around 50% usage. Any suggestions?

The thing with vsync is that as soon as your pc can't maintain solid 60 fps is that it drops all the way down to 30 so that you don't see any tearing. Gsync was invented so that this doesn't happen. 

I understand this, but with Vsync off I can get a stable 70+ FPS, but I would like Vsync on to reduce stuttering.

Turn up your setting and turn off Vsync and enable it in your driver!

Thanks, I tried enabling Vsync in Catalyst Control Center but that lowered it even further.

Does GTAV has a frame cap setting?, or does that also cause stutter

I haven't seen a frame cap setting, you can only have Vsync on 60 or 30 FPS

No Vsync causes tearing not stuttering. If it is stuttering that is a bottleneck in your PC

Just keeping this here as a No Vsync causes tearing not stuttering. If it is stuttering that is a bottleneck in your PC

He's turning on the vsync to limit the stutter as his computer stutters if it's off
