i tried imgur and tweeting it and using the url of the pic from the tweet. what am i doing wrong?

You have to use the direct image link of the image.

Try the Imgur link with .jpg or .png behind it.

Gotta link the actual .jpg or .png or .gif

IIRC that's all that IP.Board supports

.webm support has been added a few months ago too :)
