galaxy S6 vs iphone 6S: need a phone for 2 years, which one?

ytnaszzz

I am tired of using china phones that cost 150~200 euros and aren't quick in daily tasks, or that crash easily.

I need a phone that will stay quick and snappy for 2 years. only can be one of these 2:  Galaxy s6 or iPhone 6s.

I will need to use the phone for 2 years, so i need to take durability in account, has future proof in terms of software updates , and hardware.

I don't enjoy heavy gaming in a phone, (only computer gaming) , so when i play with my phone it's just simple games.

Mostly what I do is texting and social media, so I need a phone that works well and quickly.

Also, i like a good picture and video quality (which both of these have)

Which one should I get? What should i take in consideration?

Please don't send me youtube videos as i've seen most of them about this matter.

thanks and have a good day!

S6 out of the two (even though I dislike Samsung a bit)

Apple has been known to make old devices slower in software updates.

Is that a myth or is it confirmed?

I 100% agree currently I have a 5c and the moment IOS 9 came out my phone has become basically unusable

Let's just not make this a iOS/Android fight please,

yes i considered that a lot of people still use the 4s and 4 very well, even though they are 4 and 5 years old.

But tech is evolutioning rapidly, and in a few months there will be android 6.0, and in two years there will be 7.0 and 8.0 (kind of ?) released, and iOs is still delivering iOS support to phones with 4 years.

I am saying this because i will be paying the phone for two years on a contract (outside of the USA), so i wouldn't like to have it obsolete while still paying it.

well the 5c came out just over 2 years ago, even though it wasn't the flagship phone it has slowed so much that I can barely do anything without it freezing or apps crashing.

5c was kind of a cheap thing for those who don't wan't to pay "Apple price" to have a "Apple item" so as apple doesn't make things cheap (i wish they did lol) it wasn't such a good of a thing

yeah i agree with u

but considering that i will get the base model (16 gb for the 6s or 32 gb for the s6) which one should i get?

I'm also considering real-life battery life usage (not only raw mAh)

Do you have articles on the thing?

I still doubt it, every piece of tech will start to stutter at some point, my one m7 does to every so often. some will have more problems some less, depends on how you use it, what you use it for

if you have to choose between 16gb and 32gb even if they are different phones don't go for 16gb it shouldn't really even be a base model for capacity anymore

because articles = everything

I know 2 people with iPhone 4s (plural, not the phone 4s) with iOS7 and they say that it's horrible, and a factory reset didn't fix anything.

But if you're an article person for some reason

edge is $100 more expensive and doesn't really improve anything but aesthetics

Well old hardware can't keep up with the demanding new operating system the same as new hardware does? Its like saying windows is intentionally skimping the performance of old hardware cuz win 7 runs shit on my pentium 4 laptop

happens to me too with my one m7. but since its apple, you must start a #apple gate
