Hey!

Right now my internet speed is 50 kb/s. Yes it is possible.

So, I've been reading about it and I've made my decision of going with the SIM card option, since I have a tower quite near from another isp that can provide 4G.

I basically only need:

    -At least one rj-45 Ethernet port;

    -Some good wifi;

    -It to be able to port forward (I've read some good reviews on the huawei ones but they seem to have port forwarding problems, correct me if I'm wrong).

    -It to be compatible with 800, 1800 or 2600MHz (not sure if those have anything to directly do with 4G, I'm quite new to all this);

    -It to support 4G;

In case you were wondering how it feel like,
you can't watch 240p videos on youtube without it stopping every 5 secs to load for 10 more, also google.com takes like 3-5 secs to load - would be it in a nutshell.

Thanks for the help, have a nice day :D

a router wont effect your internet speed though

Guess Its gonna be me who explains to you that are various types of internet, being the ones that mostly exist i n my country physical(by phone line or fiber, usually. ), that is the one I'm using and the signal comes from about 30km away, by phone line. Then there's satellite internet where you connect directly to a satellite, there you get really high speeds along with really high pings, and then, there are mobile networks, that use tech such as 4G that anyone with a SIM card can pick up, but as I don't wanna just do hotspot cuz it sucks ass, ao I'm gonna get a router that accepts a SIM card so I can get internet from the antenna that's shoved up my neighbour's ass (really near to his house).

So go learn fucking English, read the god damn threads before you reply and don't ever think you know enough cuz u don't. I hope you have learned something with this.

Salty much? Yes I knew that. But it seemed like you were complaining that your internet was bad and you wanted a good router to get better internet. Due to your "not being able to watch YouTube videos" problem. What the hell is your problem? I was just telling you that a router doesn't really effect internet speed because that's how I interpreted your issue.

Had a bad day and one of the things I hate the most on the internet is people who don't know what they are talking about, and don't even bother to try to. I'm sorry for being rude. Still, someone who spits out "specs" can't really be that dumb ;)

Tho, I'm sorry.

Also, affect*

I have a question tho, I'm not to experienced, but how would I manage to connect a SIM card to that beauty? There doesn't seem to be any SIM card port.

Thank you and thank you again in advance.

He was complaining that his landline internet is really slow, so he wants to use his wireless carrier for internet and is looking for a router that supports that function.

Be sure to check if your dongle is compatible or not: http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Supported_Hardware#4G_LTE_cards

Even if it isn't on that list, it still may work, so you can try googling around to see if someone else has gotten it to work.

I've really been learning so much with you guys, thanks so much!

I began this journey not knowing jag about networking, and now if I buy let's say a Huawei E3272 and the said CRS109-8G-1S-2HnD-IN, I'm basically future-proof for a while right?

btw I might make a full basics guide about this in the future when I set this up explaining all this :D

Yup, as long as your provider don't have bandwith/speed caps you are "future proof" in the sense of a couple of years
