Hi guys,

I'm doing my first ever build and was wondering if you guys could check my build and see if there is any changes I could make. My original budget was £1000 but i've kinda gone over :/

Can somebody please help me lower it if possible. Everything apart from the ssd is purchased from Amazon (No idea if that helps). Oh and i'm based in the UK.

Note: I can't use any old pc parts as i'm giving it to a family member.

Thanks guys! Are there any motherboards you can recommend that would be cheaper but still have similar features?

Good overall build but go with 1600mhz ram.

Life is pain. Anyone who says any different is either selling something or the government.

Nice build you have done your research. I don't see many places to drop price other than the motherboard a Asus Pro isn't necessary for an average user.

Edit: As Volbet said and I missed, just get 1600mhz RAM.

Would this be better?

That works perfectly if you want to stick with the gold color scheme.

Thanks, the main reason I wanted to go with Asus is the software.

So should i not consider these? Would those accessories be likely to come with other parts of my build?

SATA power comes in you PSU and SATA data cables comes with your motherboard. There is no need to purchase extra cables

@Volbet

Would you say I should get more case fans or would the fans in the current case be sufficient?

As far as I can tell they give you plenty of fans with the case. You can always build the system and see what you think and then maybe buy more fans if you feel you need them.

Here you go: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/1sGTg

I would recommend getting a matx build instead if you're not stuck on the case. Matx would be smaller, easier to transport, cheaper, and does everything you need.

Would a 600w power supply be sufficient for my current build and if i wanted to add hard drives later on?

You could easily add 6 more harddrives and not have to worry 600w is plenty.

Edit: change your GPU from a 670 to a 770 ;) There's no reason to go last gen if you don't have to.

When would I ever need to change the psu?

Ah if only but a 770 is way over my budget :(.
