Basically, my question is, is this a "good" PSU?(Meaning it wont fry any of my components) https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/part/corsair-power-supply-cx600 My current PC specs are in my signature. I choose a 600 watt psu because I plan on getting this video-card- https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/part/xfx-video-card-r9285acdfc. Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. :D

I think you will be fine with that psu

The Wannabe is no longer. Replaced by the Flotilla. If you replace every part of a computer is it still the same computer?

Don't get a CX and an R9 285. I would get an R9 280X and an EVGA 550W GS/Antec High Current Gamer instead ;)

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

It's alright and would be plenty for your card but something like an s12ii would be better: https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/part/seasonic-power-supply-s12ii520bronze

Man if your using a CX Series 80+ Bronze Certified psu's stay below 500w becasue they use Seasonic OEM parts, once into 600w they start using other manufacturers and well with rather disastrous results. Once over 600w with a Corsair swap to their Platinum rated psu's.

Systems built (personal) | 1. Bad Wolf (Has passed on to PC Heaven): https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/b/zX9WGX |  2. Red Husky: https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/b/Mwhypg

Only the CX400 is from Seasonic. The rest of CX are from CWT.

I would get a r9 280x, but their over $300 in Canada, and would a 550W psu be enough for my PC?

Yes, a good 550w is plenty for any single gpu.

Damn it im doing a FX-6300 and a R9 380 build, I thought the 500w would be the same as 400w. I have a CX 500w on th way in the mail, I might return it then. I dont want to to blow up.

So would the SeaSonic S12II be a good chose for my PC?

Sure.

The cx500 is fine for that. There have been way too many people saying that the CX series psus would blow up.
