CPU TEMPS HIGH, FAN NOT RUNNING.

DiegoWithLag
Go to solution Solved by Kitten of the Broccoli,

Well, first off, 61 degrees isn't that hot. 80 degrees is hot. Like everyone else is saying, look at the fan itself. If it's truly not spinning, the first thing I'd do is unplug my computer, get to a static-free environment, open my computer, unplug the fan from its header, then plug it back in. If the problem persists, then you should contact your motherboard's manufacturer.

Im playing high end AAA games like BF4 or starwars battlefront, and my cpu fan is not running.

It might not be reading correctly, My motherboard doesn't read the correct temperature it reads 20c ish higher than of what it actually is.

physically look at your fan and see if its moving, sometimes you can have bad sensors and stuff that show the fan as not moving but in fact it is spinning up just as it should

i have that problem currently on my rig, shows 0 rpms on cpu fan but its physically moving and fan speed ramps up when i stress the cpu
