Hope this is the right spot...

I want to play Fallout 4 the best it can be... What would you upgrade?

I have...

Asus A88X-PRO (FM2+ Socket)

AMD A Series A8-7600    <- I went for onboard, because I was not sure on how much money I would have available for a gpu...  But ended up getting ->

Sapphire Nitro R9 380 with 4GB

HyperX 16GB

2 Kingston SSD 240GB (Toying with raid for the first time ever)

WD 1TB Green

And the worst I think, a Lepa 500 Watt PS

I also have on the side, waiting, wanting, and needing to be used an Asus M5A99FX Motherboard(AM3+ Socket). < no cpu for it

What would you do..?..?

I wanted to buy an FX-8350, or do I wait for...

More expensive GPU...

A better PS and a second R9 380

Do I get a CPU today, or wait for a better option?  What would you do with a couple hundred dollars....

I only have enough for 1 upgrade, the cpu is in budget, and I really am looking forward to the best experience in Fallout 4

Thanks guys :-)

I'd sell all the AMD stuff and grab an i5 and new board.

With a budget of $450 you can get a pretty nice set up.

If you can squeeze in a 390 by selling your 380, even better.

Get an 4690k and a cheap mobo for it. Also like a cheap 650w Evga power supply.

Do not get a cheap EVGA PSU - cheap and good value are not the same thing. They seem to be there go-to brand on here for some reason, despite putting out some barely passable units.

I have one, and it's been working pretty good for me?

Edit: I seem to not be the only one. http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Story6&reid=424

You've linked a PSU that's nearly 100 dollars. Definitely not the cheapest model they make.

Yeah that APU needs to go

If you can't afford Intel you can always get an 8320 or 8350, no problem with that

If not you can get a 4690k + H97/Z97 (depending on whether you're overclocking)

Get a 550W SeaSonic PSU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817151119

There are $130-160 650w power supplies by other manufacturers. The one I linked to is definitely one of the cheapest power supplies in general. I didn't say the cheapest 650w power supply from EVGA. I said a cheap one. On top of that, the power supply's price, according to NCIX US, is around $80.00.

Cool beans. I'm not a US customer so I admittedly wasn't exactly shopping around as such, but it's worth specifying a specific model or range when it comes to PSUs recommendations as you might do with any other PC component. The terms 'cheap EVGA' (as per your first post) does unfortunately include some of the junk models that are best avoided, and you certainly didn't specify ignoring the cheapest ones either. But yeah, the one you link in your 2nd post looks solid for the money.

Yeah, true, I don't work for the company, so I shouldn't blindly recommend their products.

The Power supply is http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817494002  <- now

For the cpu I was looking at 8300, or even 9000 amd... yes I will be overclocking it open case air cooled first...

I grew up with amd / ati and felt comfortable going that route... but...

im having problems with this setup...

Audio problems with openAL, jitter problems that disappear with windowed mode, Not as much control as I thought I could get with Catalyst...  and many other just small, unimportant , usually fixable , pains with this setup...

I know AMD is cheaper, but it really feels I should have went Intel... and Nvidia ...

I still own 2 amd motherboards, and a video card right now and want to make the best of it, but I'm expecting problems when this game comes out....
