1) Go to walmart or Amazon

2) Buy the best pair of Sony headphones ($10)

3) That's all you need for school. Unless it's for a video class. Then get Audio Technica headphones, or just get the raider earbuds that Linus has already reviewed.

Any ideas for WIRED earbuds under $200? I'll be using these for school.  I've been looking at some Shures, and the RHA T10i. Thanks

If you want copious amounts of bass, without losing out on the mids and highs, I've been pretty impressed with the Sony XB90EX.

does your phone not work with bluetooth or is this a personal preference?

Bluetooth is a pain in the ass. Wired headphones (in my experience, and opinion, of course) is much, much better than wireless.

2) Buy the best pair of Sony headphones ($10)

You are aware that Sony makes headphones that cost FAR more than $10, right? I mean, honestly, why even post when it's such a pointless, and completely unhelpful suggestion...

athm50x, decent isolation good bass and mids(high are a little harsh to me) with detachable cable/ $99

M50X, other than being overpriced, is hardly a portable headphone...

i've heard of them before but i would rather go with brands that are more known like shure, audio technica, sennhieser, bose, etc

Wait, you're talking about Bowers & Wilkins, right? I assume then, that you aren't aware that they are an incredibly well known manufacturer of very high end speakers... They are as well known as any of those brands you listed, at least as far as high end speakers go.

Yeah right now I really want the Shure 315 for the cable, but the T10i for the case, and customization.

If you want something from the Shure line, skip over the SE315. It's kind of the odd one out in the line. The SE425 is awesome (and my personal favorite, although I haven't listened to the SE846) and the SE535 is also very, good, although far outside your price range. The SE215 is a great little guy, although not as detailed... Also, the 215 has a touch more bass than the others (although if you're going for more bass, the SE215 limited, blue edition is really good, and very cool looking.)

The RHA T10 is cool, but I've never listened to it, so I can't really comment.

ATHM50X isn't the best bang for the buck but they aren't horrible like Bose/beats. Ultimate Triple Fi 10 has good reviews and is $250.

The M50X should cost half of what it does, for the sound quality. The second generation of beats are actually decent, even for the money (taking into account that they are fashion headphones, and therefore already going to be slightly over priced, if you take sound quality alone.) Also, bose is the best in the business for noise cancelling, so you can hardly say that they are horrible. Honestly, does anyone actually make their own minds up about things, or do we all just jump on the bandwagon now? I missed that memo...

Also, the TF10 was good when it came out what, like a decade ago? Now, it's a considered to be a very veiled headphone, not to mention that they are terribly uncomfortable. The Westone and Shure offerings in that price range are far superior, and I don't doubt that the RHA would be as well.

Sennheiser Momentum 2.0 On Ear.

They lack the isolation of the over ear, but are still a nice pair of headphones. Damn stylish, too.

They are also quite portable.

But OP would prefer to have in ears...

Don't do this unless you want a cancer in your ears because of trash quality transducer
