I need a USB stick for my A-Level coursework, will this do?

Or is there a better one for the price?

SanDisk = Intel of USB sticks.

I'd get two and save on both so you have backup if the other one fails.

If your top priorities are portability and as close to 0% chance of losing data as possible, consider 2 USB sticks, and/or also a copy on a home computer, and/or also a copy on something like OneDrive or Google Drive that syncs automatically

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

Get 2 of them and save your work on both

Can't really afford 2, using the money I was given from the school for it. I mainly use Google Drive for work so the stick will often be backed up on there anyway

Its VERY tempting but seems a bit expensive. Definitely an option, depends on how much they give me to spend, unless I can find a cheap one but I don't see that being a safe idea

the most reliable storage medium is having multiple places to store your data.

Fair point, but when buying a USB stick I may as well get the best one I can rather than buying multiple cheap ones

A combination of one decent stick and google drive should make you pretty much immune to losing whatever it is you are doing

Should be fine then, between this, a Kingston and the Corsair stick

I've noticed the huge price drop is USB sticks at the moment, so much more cheaper! I remember buying an 8GB stick a few years ago for £15

while you should always buy a decent stick, this is one to consider.

it may be the most reliable storage system ever, but you can always lose the lottery, and get that one faulty stick in a million.

and end up as a teacher on exam day with a broken stick.

I will most likely back-up the USB at the end of the day or the week depending on how much work I've done so if anything were to happen I can manage going back a week/a couple of days.
