ERR_TIMED_OUT

Okay so for a few weeks now I've been getting this err timed out thing on Google because it can't connect to the site. The wierd thin is my internet is working, I can open some of my bookmarks like amazon and tumblr but can't open youtube or Facebook. Also I can only access sites by entering the actual address of the site I can't actually google anything [emoji53] I've tried everything I could find on the Internet and every standard solution like turning off my router and stuff but nothings helping and I need to be able to do research for college. If anyone could help it'd be great!

try switching your DNS server to google's DNS. I am no expert on networking, but this is the first thing I usually try.
