Interpolation vs. higher res

Go to solution Solved by MegaDave91,

IMO, no. 1080p still looks fine in that form factor and your 860m will have a much easier time.

Hello everybody,

I'm sure this has been answered, but a quick search reveals nothing that satisfies me. :P

So I have a 4k laptop, and with several of my games I'm in the odd position that I can't run on 4k (obviously), but would be able to run at 1440p with max settings. However I could also go 1080 for an eve divider... would the higher res be worth the dips in framerate and interpolation?

(Yes, I'm very lazy and don't want to try it with every single game in my library)

i have been playing games in 1080p on the 4k laptop I am testing, its not worth running 4k, when 1080p is super sharp on that small screen

if its a less demanding game then 1440p
