Hey guys, so i just want your opinions on buying used GPU's. Anyone here purchased a used GPU? Did you regret it? Would you prefer to buy new?
I was thinking of getting myself a GTX titan or something alone those lines, as sometimes they go very cheap in Aus. Or maybe even a CFX or SLI setup.

That's why I'm going 780Ti, although that 290X is pretty beast.

HD7950/7970's are 2nd hand at $100-125 Aussie dollars at times, good price>performance, so I got two of em, and have performance in many titles faster than my GTX970 or 290x.

290's are also going for pretty cheap at times, two of them would be nice.

GTX680's/770's , two of them at a right price... noice!

I would, and have, many times.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

Gumtree/Facebook Groups

Enthusiasts sell stuff at decent enough prices...

2x 770 would be killer, or 2x 680's (being cheaper)

Or a single 780/780ti at the right price.

Yea i do own a 770 2gb atm, but it seems to struggle in alot of games :/ It always has FPS drops all the time, i think it could be due to the reference cooler, and the heat. I am also considering selling my Dtop and buying a laptop, but IDK if it'd be worth it because most laptops with GTX 960m are at about $1700+ and they struggle to play BF4 so.....

The only laptops worth getting, are TOO expensive, more expensive than that $1700.

SRSLY DO NOT, You'll have buyers remorse. Even expensive ones don't play titles that well in the next year when harder hitting games come out.

I'd chase another 770 if its cheap enough, if not, sell your current one, put monies towards a 780ti/970 instead of buying a laptop which won't last as long.

IMO of course...

yea i see where your coming from. It's either a new GPU some nice headphones like ATH-m50s, but then i need to save more monies, if i can just sell my 770 then put my extra $120 to it then i got a good GPU on my hands.

I'm thinking to sell my old ASUS GTX 560Ti. What do you think a decent price for that right now?

Well i'd recommend going onto what ever used advert sites in your local area and compare prices then if you want a quick sale make it a bit cheaper or put it up as the price other people have advertised.
