Blue MoFi Headphones

shadowr1ku

Hello guys!

So I got the MoFi Blue headphones and I thought I liked it but it clamps hard and wearing them definitely takes a toll.

Should I replace them for something else or bite through it?

I replaced my Razer Blacksharks so anything is an upgrade lol. I mainly use them for gaming, then electronic music, and skype so if you have a suggestion let me know!

Thanks guys!

I used them at a demo, I also thought they had a harsh clamp force but to be fair I do have a huge head. Last week I ended up getting the new dt1770. they have the best full sound stage of any closed headphone I have ever used by far. They are double the cost of the mofi but if you were shopping in that price range I think it's worth the extra money.

It would really depend on your budget.  For electronic music I would generally suggest more bassy  headphones, but for gaming I would suggest open headphones. Maybe the Beyerdynamics DT990s? I would not be the expert on them as I haven never used them, but if my memory serves me right those are the open bassy headphones. Another good option would be the Phillips Fidelio X2s.

Internets Machine: Intel 4690k w/ Be Quiet! Pure Rock 4.7Ghz. MSI Krait z97. 16GB Crucial Ballistix Sport Ram. MSI GTX 970 SLI 1520mhz. 500GB Samsung EVO 840  & 3TB WD Blue Drive. Rosewill 1000w Modular PSU. Corsair Air 540

My Beats Yo: Desktop:SMSL SA-160 Amp, KEF Q100 w/ Dayton 100w Sub Theater: Micca MB42X-C x3, MB42X x2, COVO-S x2 w/Dayton 120w Sub Headphones:  HIFiMan HE-400i, PSB M4U2, Philips Fidelio X2, Modded Fostex T50RP, ATH-M50, NVX XPT100, Phillips SHP9500, Pioneer SE-A1000, Hyper X Cloud 1&2, CHC Silverado, Superlux 668B

+1 for the X2. They're a great pair of headphones.

I REALLY want to try the new beyer lineup. Also, I have a "thing" for mini XLR on headphones, so there's that... Although I dislike the AKG setup with the 3 pin mini XLR. All headphones should have a minimum of 4 pin (IMO)

You could (and really should) look into the Sony MDR MA900. They're supposed to be really, really good, and they're supposed to have some incredible bass quality for the price.

Hey! New SIgnature!

I'm supposedly a person on the Internet, but you'll never know if I'm human or not ;)

Other then the clamp force did you like them? Would help to know what type of sound youre looking for. What did or didnt you like about the sound? After we know that we can recommend you some cans :)

PC Audio Setup = Beyerdynamic DT 770 pro 80 ohm and Sennheiser pc37x (also for xbox) hooked up to Schiit Fulla 3

I did like how clear everything was especially positional audio. I really enjoy powerful and punchy bass/treble while having some clear mid's and high's. What I didn't like was just the bass, although really clear and accurate, I would like some 'omph'.
