1 Short Beep.

My laptop makes a short beeping noise when i move it about 

it is a macbook pro 13 inch 2010 version

if your too lazy to look at specs i think it is because of the HDD that it has its making that noise

Is the harddrive dying?

Considering its an apple product, you'll probably have to send it back. I don't know for sure though. Good luck m8

oh god i went to the apple store about a year ago and they did this and they plugged their ethernet cord in the genius bar to my computer because i wanted mac 10.8 back and it installed 10.8 back :)

Short beeping noise? kind of like the arm of a hard drive reading head making contact with a spinning hard drive and digging into it deeply. 

Troubleshooting a pc will make you believe in gremlins.

WHAT DO YOU MEAN

Moving an HDD around can and often will cause the arm to dig into the storage plate causing a screeching noise that is sometimes confused with a beep

Troubleshooting a pc will make you believe in gremlins.

if it did scratch your disk its only the start of the problem, as the scratch can make the head jump causing it to crash into the disk making another cut and so and so on
