A looooooong time ago I used to pivot stick animator to make stop motion. Just imported each image as bmp. It works great for stop motion as it's such a simple program.

You can do it in any video editing software

You need to do that manually. With a camera and taking multiple shots. Or record I think and green screen your arm out of the video.
