That's neat. I have an MSI mobo and even I don't know that LOL

 

Its not on all of there mobo, just z87, z97 and h97(i think).

You don't need a liquid cooler right now, the intel stock cooler is more than sufficient. You can allocate the cost of the cllc to something else, such as your graphics card.

I plan to upgrade to i5 4690k, and will overclock high enough to need it.

The thing is that you're spending about $60 on a cooler that will give you 0 performance increase atm. That money is better spent on your graphics card for better gaming performance, or even on the cpu for a tad better performance; you can even go with the 4690k right now and a cheap cooler such as the cm 212 evo and oc to 4.4-4.6ghz.

your asking for a build, and your being very unorganized. you think you can get that stuff with the budget your asking for ATM?

Did some research. Legitreviews was able to fit a 160.5mm tower heatsink in the case. The 212 evo is 159mm so it should fit just fine.

I'm not sure if that board is capable of overclocking as generally the z87 or z97 boards are capable of overclocking.

 

Like you said, you should probably change the gpu in favor of a beefier one. You can probably get the windows product key off of g2a or reddit and put that money onto a better graphics card (maybe even fit the 380 in there).

Seems like you can do some very limited overclocking with that board; you can only adjust the multiplier and not the voltage so you won't get very far.

Sorry, I don't have any experience with those, but heard great things from many of the LTT forum members. Maybe someone else can chime in and help.
