Is this laptop still worth an upgrade?

Wayne Tai

This 6 years old laptop belongs to a friend of mine.

Specs

Intel core 2 duo p8800 @ 2.6 Ghz ( 2 cores, no hyperthreads)

3 GB of ram

500GB of hard disk;

GT 210M

Don't have the detailed specs now but I'm thinking of replacing the hard disk with an SSD. Not sure if it's worth the money.
