Working on a build for my sister for light gaming, and general schoolwork, anywhere I could save money, overbuying, or bottle necking?

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1rLtr

Edit: Back to the prodigy, my sister likes it more...any suggestions for a $550 build?

for light gaming i don't think she would need the performance boost from 2133 memory, but everthing else looks good. Maybe get a ssd boot drive that will go a long way in a general computer since the OS will be a lot more responsive.

Since it's an Apu, fast memory is more important than ever...

Is itx a requirement? If you worrying about size, the Prodigy is pretty big for an itx case.

Size isn't really an issue, just thought the prodigy was a fun case, she didn't want it to be "ugly"...:)

This may be a little expensive, but this would be a really nice system http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1rLRz

If the price is too much remove the ssd.

I'm going to say that the form factor is making you spend too much.

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1rM2U

This costs less, and will perform just as well.

Also, just show your sister some mATX cases. My sister was picky, but she found a case she loved. Let her choose her favorite and get to building :D

Good luck!

She has a white NZXT Phantom 410. I personally don't like it. It's an ATX case, it's a bit expensive, but it's what she wanted.

She tells me though that in the future, she wants to get a BitFenix Shinobi and spray paint the metal strips pink, like I painted mine red. So, I guess I will have a Phantom 410 for modding.

I don't have many, but I will find them. Hold on.

Apparently, they got deleted. Sorry. I can send you a pic of the case as it is now, but it looks a bit crap, as when my dad (he won't let me use his Dremel) was cutting the frame out so I could ghetto fit a 240mm radiator, he chopped up the case a bit. It's okay, I will probably get a Cooler Master CM Storm Scout II in white. I will probably fit it with white LED strips/cathode tubes. Oh man, it's going to look great.
