I noticed this option in the BIOS - does it just increase boot up times? (that is what it looks like to me)

humm...let's see...fast boot? increasing boot up times?

no, i would say MSI is not stupid enough to do something like that i would bet it will DECREASE your boot times...i turn this on, my machine is FAST.

 

EDIT: i think this skip a memory validation process that is not needed anyways...
