That PSU is awful. Seriously, get XFX, EVGA G2 P2 or PS or Seasonic, less chance of it frying components. I've read that they don't even do what is advertised (the 750W version apparently produces just 400W peak) so stay away.

oh god, Alpine are cheap as heck PSU's, I would strongly suggesty picking up a seasonic S12ii or XFX Pro if you want a pretty decent PSU.

i should know cause i used to have an alpine PSU (750W) and it only had one PCI connector? what gives. but the thing was as light as heck. avoid at all costs.

Would a corsair 430w be good?

They're rated for 30C under load, so I'd not bother. Try to get at least a Corsair CS if you have to go Corsair.

Would a corsair 430w be good?

Your system has a modest power draw of <~200wDC. The Corsair CX430v3 will be able to power that and would be a better option than the Alpine.

If you want a possible better alternative, however, can you provide a link to the store you are buying from?

Would a corsair 430w be good?

Wouldn't recommend it I would go for a XFX TS or EVGA B2 great lower budget PSUs or look for a Seasonic PSU

But if all else fails it should be okay so long as it isn't a VS or GX

Amazon uk

XFX TS 550w Gold for £37.99... o.0

I think Amazon mislabel either the product or the pricing...As that pricing is supposed to be for TS Bronze (Seasonic S12II Bronze).

Either way, both are superior than the CX series, especially if you get the Gold version (Seasonic S12G internally).

That XFX that @quan289 linked is amazing for the money. Like straight up must be a misprint amazing. Check out the PSU whitelist in my sig for some other options too though you won't beat that XFX at that price.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.
