Have you bought the parts yet? If you haven't, I'd get a 390 instead of the 970.

Yeah, I agree. Partially performance, and also because nvidia are evil.

Nvidia isn't evil. The 390 just performs better than the 970.

I do a lot of 'content creation' and game in my spare time. I know the '970' isn't the best card, but it is just a good performing placeholder at the moment.A GPU upgrade is first on the list as I couldn't afford a higher end card at this time. I already have a friend lined up for the 970 as he needs and upgrade for his gaming system. I'll be upgrading to something more substantial like a 980ti or it's future equivalent, if the price comes down from the clouds when I'm looking to upgrade.

Just Out of curiosity, why did you go with those sizes of SSDs?

I'd like to keep the OS and main applications separated on their own drive so the 500GB can be purely for games. I'm currently on a SSD at the moment and I'd miss the snappy load times if I went with a mech drive for games as well. This was one of the main reasons for dumping my console as well. The 4TB will be for video files, photo reference folders etc. RAW video and photos can add up quite fast, haha.

I'm a video editor and for me my 240 GB SSD isn't enough for all my applications. Just letting you know.

What programs are you using? I use Photoshop,C4D & a selection of the other Adobe programs. I'm mainly into 2D design / illustration and 3D to assist with 2D. (Non-professional)

First batch of parts. All the parts my local PC store doesn't stock. Ordered from PCCASEGEAR.com.

I took the chance to switch out the rings on the fans while checking for breaks that might have occurred during postage.

The next post (3-4 weeks time) will more than likely feature all the other parts or I might break them up into individual posts.

3x AF140mm (2x intake, 1x exhaust)
