Hello, since I am fortunate enough to be considering buying this processor, I need some help with options.

-I need to know if it is worth buying over the new skyline i7 6700k.

-I need someone to link me a reliable and an ATX form factor motherboard for this socket (LGA 2011-v3)

-any good air coolers for it?

-If there is a good, reliable set of 16GB RAM sticks out there, please link it.

-----Preferably in a black/blue, black/red, or a black/grey color scheme.

I know it is a lot, but this is my first build and need help. Thanks in advance. Much appreciated.

Skylake has better single core performance.  Only get the 5820k if you will be video editing.

Use http://pcpartpicker.com/ to enter your partlist and sort motherboards by rating.  Most x99 motherboards are Black/White, Black or Black/red.

Noctua NH-D14 and Be Quiet! Dark Rock Pro 3

Again, use pcpartpicker.

Thanks, one more question. Would getting the i7 4790k be a good chip for $50 less or should I pay the $50 premium for the i7 5820k?

-It is definitely worth go get it over the 6700k.

-ASRock X99X Killer, bought this for my dad's build with the 5820k, a great motherboard, quality made, relatively well priced and great UEFI.

-I picked a Be Quiet! Dark Rock Pro 3 as it looks badass and is very efficient. A noctua NH-D15 is just as good, not as good looking though.

-Remember to get 4x4GB of RAM sticks, not 2x8GB since X99 supports quad channel. Basically Corsair Vengeance LPX are great, G.Skill and HyperX as well. Choose whatever is cheaper.

Would the i7 6700k be good for coding (moderate to heavy), making animations in Adobe suites, and light video editing?

I call BS. You will not feel ANY difference between 6700k and 5820k in gaming. No difference at all. However you will feel a difference in very heavy multithreaded workloads in favor of the 5820k. It's simply a better bang for the buck and it's a more powerful CPU on an enthusiast-grade platform.

Render times will be noticeably shorter on the 5820k.

Are you doing video editing?

Are you doing 3d modeling?

Are you running intensive number crunching, folding, or boinc?

Are you making money from any of these things?

If you answered no, then the 6700k will perform better in gaming and everything else you do.
