Malwarebytes and antivirus

Go to solution Solved by Enderman,

you can just disable active scanning in AVG...

So I know that using the free option of Malwarebytes with a normal anti virus software works. Since there is only one active scanner (anti virus software), it is fine.

Though, I'm thinking of going the other way instead of having an always on anti-virus scanner, I'm thinking of getting MB premium just because I really like it.

Though, a normal AV software like AVG, Avast etc isn't on demand scanners AFIK. They scan all the time. But since I'm thinking of getting MB premium that does this too. I would kind of want an AV that is just on demand with MB premium that is scanning all the time.

Is this possible? Are there any good on demand AV softwares out there that do not actively search?

Also, do you think it's wise to do it this way? I don't really have a particular reason to why but I just like the simpleness of MB.

So if it's bad practice to do so, then I guess I'll use the free version of MB with an active AV scanner.

Haha, how did I not think of that! :D

Wow, such a simple solution and I just couldn't seem to come up with that.

Anyway, thanks for having a good solution for me since my brain has obviously stopped working properly.. ;)
