MGS5 MASSIVE fps drops

so when playing MGS maxed things are going aok then BAM for what seems like no reason massive fps drop...like sub 24 fps for no reason anyone have any idea whats going on with this?

did you see a CPU speed drop by a huge chunk?

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.

wasnt monitoring that will screw around a bit to see but I doubt its a heat issues if theats were you are going which I expect mind tou IU dunno how to monitor that in real time, MSI AB doesnt have a clock speed setting for cpu

Check which background process is using your GPU. Use ProcessHacker 2. http://sourceforge.net/projects/processhacker/

Same thing happened to me with MGSV. Not sure of the cause, could be a game bug. Restarting my PC fixed the problem for me.

and yet my brother's fx-4100/hd 7850 rig sees none of this

 

check temps/cpu usage
