I decided to switch from a WiFi setup to a Ethernet setup. I hooked up a switch to my router and then ran the cable into my computer. My computer will connect to it, say it has internet access, but when i try yo load a page, it doesn't load and then it says limited connection. I know the Ethernet is connection to the internet as my Nvidia Shield will run off it with no issue.

Please help me

why add a switch to your router? why not just run the plug from router to computer?

try multiple browsers

make sure you turn the wifi off.

report results.

We can't Benchmark like we used to, but we have our ways. One trick is to shove more GPUs in your computer. Like the time I needed to NV-Link, because I needed a higher HeavenBench score, so I did an SLI, which is what they called NV-Link back in the day. So, I decided to put two GPUs in my computer, which was the style at the time. Now, to add another GPU to your computer, costs a new PSU. Now in those days PSUs said OCZ on them, "Gimme 750W OCZs for an SLI" you'd say. Now where were we? Oh yeah, the important thing was that I had two GPUs in my rig, which was the style at the time! They didn't have RGB PSUs at the time, because of the war. The only thing you could get was those big green ones.

Connecting 4 devices in my room to ethernet, easier to run 1 cable to my room then use a switch.

Tried, same result

Wifi is off

i'd check your ethernet drivers.

how old is your computer?

have you tried without a switch first?

I'd recommend this, however if the drivers were at fault it wouldn't connect at all.

I remember I had the same issue and I had to get a Network card to work around it.

Did you upgrade to Windows 10 with those drivers already installed? if so, that mmay have been the cause of the problem.
