Can't delete windows.old folder...

What's up guys I just updated to 10 from windows 8 on my brand new laptop. I been trying to free up space on the 128gb ssd by deleting windows.old. But every time I try to delete it I don't have permission to do so. I have tried renaming the folder, disk cleanup, and changing the security properties. Any ideas on how to delete it?

download this

extract it then install it, its just a reg file,

right click on the windows.old folder and you'll have a new option "Take Ownership" click that a cmd box will pop up for a minute when its gone all the permissions will be transfered to the current user, then delete your file =)

if you want to remove the reg entry just use the remove file included, ( i keep it on though cuz it can be handy )

I tried that but  Previous Windows installation(s) doesn't appear.

did you click the 'clean up system files' button at the bottom of disk cleanup?

My clean install doesn't have a windows.old, so I'm not sure about this, but go to the other tab, "More Options," and try cleaning up system restore points. Even if that doesn't clean up windows.old, at least it removes some unnecessary restore points.
