Starting my first PC build tomorrow! However, I'm still not quite sure how to properly static discharge! I got an anti static wristband just for safety (even though I probably won't need it) but I'm not quite sure about where to attach it. I know you're supposed to attach it to your psu but mine is fully painted (evga 650g). Can I still attach it to my psu, or will the paint on it keep me from getting grounded? Please help and thanks!

Interested in computer architecture? Still in middle or high school? P.M. me!

I love computer hardware and feel free to ask me anything about that (or phones). I especially like SSDs. But please do not ask me anything about Networking, programming, command line stuff, or any relatively hard software stuff. I know next to nothing about that.

Yes, you can still connect it to your PSU. Most paint is conductive.

You could also connect to your room's heater.

You don't really need an anti-static band because if you ground your self on a PSU that is plugged in that is ok.
