How do i set up tube/solid state combo

Hi I want to use my solid state amp only to power my headphones like a power amp because my tube amp doesnt have the same power so i want the tube amp just for the warm sound that it gives me so how should i set it up ? i currently have it like this DAC --> Tube amp pre IN then Tube amp Pre out ----> Solid state 3.5mm (i use a 3.5 mm to cinch for this because my solid state doesnt have a pre in its a fiio e12) ----> Headphones is it good like this or can i improve something to get what i want ? im a total noob for this so sorry if my question is stupid hope u can help me !
