Before i start here are my specs

- Intel i5-4670k CPU

- 8GB corsair DDR3 RAM

- GTX 760 GPU

- WD 1TB HDD

- GS600 Corsair 600w PSU

- ga-z87x-ud3h Gigabyte motherboard

Hyper 212X Coolermaster heatsink

-ASUS PCE-AC68/PCE-AC66 802.11ac network adapter

so i booted up my computer the other day to find that the fans were going faster then they ever have before, i had no display and my keyboard and network adapter wasn't working. My motherboard has a debug led and it was reading 8 0 which doesn't seem to exist within the manual. I searched the web on my laptop to try and find a fix and i was lead to flip the BIOS switch on my motherboard to the backup BIOS. That got me functionality back. so basically if i try and boot up my computer on the main BIOS i get what i described at the start of this paragraph. If i was to take a guess i would think it had something to do with either my power supply or my BIOS.

Other possible causes are:

- recent upgrade to windows 10

- I recently played around with the default overclocking buttons in the easy tune software (which didn't seem to be a problem and i reverted back to the default settings)

- i recently tried overclocking my GPU ( which also didn't seem to be a problem and was reverted back to the default settings)

Anyway i was thinking i would buy a new powersupply to try and combat the problem, the Coolermaster V750 http://www.coolermaster.com/powersupply/enthusiast-v-series/v750/. Anyway basically i just want to know 1) is it safe for me to be running on my backup BIOS, 2) is it necessary to buy a new PSU and 3) what was the likely cause of the problem and how do i fix it?

If you can I'd just flash a new BIOS and also try to fix the problem. The error code is useless, manual says "Reserved for OEM use"

EDIT: Read page 89 in the manual

What you should have done in the first place is properly take a note of any BIOS changes you have made then, properly clear your CMOS then, restart your system and if it is fixed then input all your settings again, if it didn't fix the issue then, you should have re-installed the BIOS version and then see what is the result of that.

I didn't use the BIOS at any point during the Overclocking. I used the Gigabyte EazyTunes and ASUS GPU Tweak

Good but any changes you make be it directly in the BIOS or through a software still changes the parameters in the BIOS, soooooo......make a note of your settings because when you properly clear the CMOS it sets the BIOS back to factory default, follow?

ok when you flashed did it say it was successful?

also, when you say you flipped the switch for the bios do you mean the bios reset button ( blue button near the power button on the board) ?
