help friend to ask ...this spec run dota2 will smooth?

What's your budget? You can run dota 2, or at least you could before, run it well off just a low cost APU build.

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

Also what resolution do you plan to run? If have no plan to upgrade and only see yourself playing Dota 2, then an APU will be awesome for you! It will give you above 60 fps :)

this will do more then enough...

If all you gonna do is play DotA2, get a SSD... Will make loading times and system boot up times shorter.

dont get the 7700k, get a 7850k or 7650k they have better CPUs and marginally better iGPUs

Also, a friend of mine has that type of setup, with a 7850k, it's fine if you are OK with 30-40FPS max, but if you want anything higher, it will NOT be up to the task. Like, NOT AT ALL.

Even with OC (CPU is at 4.3GHz, iGPU is at 960MHz -> stock settings are 3.5GHz CPU and 720MHz iGPU) it still doesnt break 40FPS unless you are standing in a corner all by yourself.

7850k has a better CPU and marginally better iGPU then the 7700k, but for only 4 bucks more it is way more worth it.

This setup right here will let you play Dota2 at around 30FPS, maybe 35-40 if you OC it.
