gtx 980 or gtx 980 Ti Asus Poseidon

Shino

Hi everyone

I'm new to this forum and just asking for advice, I'm about to build a 2nd computer and want to try water cooling.

Here is my parts list:

Motherboard Asus Maximus VII Formula

Cpu Intel i7 4790K

Harddrive

Samsung pro 256G SSD

WD HD 3TB Red * 2

Cooling

120mm Corsair "Air Series" SP120 RED LED Case Fan

EK Ekoolant EVO Blood Red Premix 1000mL Coolant

EK ACF 13/19mm Compression Fitting Red

XSPC LCD Temperature Display Red V2 + G1/4in Plug Sensor

EK CoolStream XE 360 Triple Radiator

EK XRES 140 D5 PWM Pump/Reservoir Combo

PrimoChill PrimoFlex Advanced LRT Tubing Clear 1/2ID 3/4OD 3m

EK Supremacy EVO Elite Edition Intel 115x CPU Waterblock

Case

In Win Case Chassis Full S-FRAME TOWER BLACK & RED

RAM

DDR3 16GB (2x8G) Avexir 1600MHz

Graphics card

Asus GTX 980 Ti Poseidon

Power supply

Cosair AX860i

Monitor

ASUS ROG Swift PG348Q (Not out yet)

I've got everything for the tower except for my graphics card, now my question is gtx980 or Ti there is currently a huge difference between NCIX gtx 980 poseidon aud$850 ish and gtx 980 ti in Aus which is aud $1300 which one should I get. my current screen set up is 1* 1080p 27 inch + 1 * 1080p 50 inch TV and the ASUS curved 1440p 21:9 ips monitor when it comes out. Would I be able to handle everything with a single 980? (I will only game on the 1440p screen when I get it, the other two I only use to work/ watch movies/shows.)

PS: before anyone shout at me saying I'm wasting money, this build is completly for show I saw the inwin S frame ASUS build and I just want to build my own since my current comp is 5 yrs old now. Also I'm not interested in any other versions of GTX 980s or Tis as i can't get evga hydro copper in AUS. T_T

I live in AUS so a gtx 980 classy is $700 ish and block is $150 so around the same as $850 Poseidon from NCIX (NCIX don't have the gtx 980 Ti Poseidon yet I emailed them about it)

Hold up, by second computer do you mean its not even your main rig?

My old comp is 5 yrs old went through upgrades but its air cooled, this new comp will become my main if I dont kill it with leaking parts. :P

my main concern is gtx 980 not powerful enough to run 1440p + 2* 1080p with multiple operations during gaming.
