Can you post the specs of the PC? Have you checked temperatures as well?

Check the temperatures, could be overheating.

If they are normal, boot in Safe Mode, run malwarebytes or the like.

If nothing is found, open command prompt in admin and run " sfc /scannow "

My friends computer randomly turns off after aorund 4-10 minutes of it being on then restarts and brings up the "windows didn't shut down correctly" page. Any idea what might be wrong.

There's only 3/4 push-pins on the stock Intel heat-sink securely fastened into the motherboard. Look in the back of the mobo to see.

Tell your friend to boot into the motherboard bios and enable every single temperature alarm he/she can get their hands on. You'll be able to quickly find out if it's a temperature problem (I'd be quite surprised if this wasn't a bios feature). But basically enable all the alarms and see what happens

no, it wouldnt make it 10 seconds like that, I once did it to my cpu and it gave the thermal post code less than ten seconds into the boot. :P
