Ethernet just doesn't provide(?)

Go to solution Solved by alexhelvetica,

Powerline is NOT ethernet!

Sounds like you have bad powerlines in your house.

Go Wifi or run a Cat 5e cable through the walls!

Okay so i've recently just built a new pc, and I got the "Powerline 500 (XAVB5201)" from NETGEAR so I could connect to the ethernet from my room. Here's the thing though: The internet works perfectly fine from like 4pm-9-pm. Even in those times it sometimes messes up. There's an interesting thing to it though, I have a brother and we play "League of Legends" together, with friends, and skype. My brother and I get, normally, around 70~ ping, but whenever the time comes around I have 1700~ ping, skype cuts out like crazy, and webpages take forever to load if they do. On the laptop I had before I built the PC, everything was fine. I've tried changing my ipv4 and the drivers, but nothing seems to work. Anyhelp would be greatly appreciated

well... is there antything power-wise that changes outside of those times?

powerlans are quite sensitive to interference/noise on the power line.

No there's no power changed, it works fine for everyone asides me
