My skype keeps crashing

I have had skype for a long time but a few moths ago it would stat to crash every time someone hung up then it got a little better, but now it scrshed in the middle of a call. I need help can any one fix this for me.

Oh and when it crashes it says this.

access violation at address 69FBAc20

It's skype. Try updating or switching to an older version.

Wait for a new version then. Me and my friends also get a crash every few days - we just resume the call.
