Good RPG games

Radiant_

I'm looking for a new RPG game to get into.

I enjoy RPGs that you can just put a bunch of time into.

I enjoy games like Skyrim, Borderlands, Shadow of Mordor, Fallout, etc. Any recommendations?

Ori and the Blind Forest is a really good 2D-platformer RPG that you can sink around 10 hours into. Totally recommended.

Some of the Final Fantasy games are on Steam. You should try out some of those if you haven't already. The only one I've beaten was Final Fantasy 7, which was amazing, and right now I'm working my way through FF3 and FF14 (MMO). Both are also excellent games.

you might try the witcher series (especially the second one) if you havent already. Also the mount and blade series, these are quite old, but man can this be fun (battles of 150vs150 first or 3rd person in the medieval era, where you command your army, like archers go there and stay back, cavalry charge and all this good stuff, it can get really precise if you want. the gameplay is chivalry-like, where you direct your sword strikes and counters, or you opt for the simplified controls and it gets skyrim-like, and you have to manage your army, accomplish quests and become a vassal or create your own kingdom, etc.) i recommend mount and blade warband. Also you could try far cry and/or just cause 2 (JC2 is a LOT of fun, and quite cheap at the moment) Oh, and if you like skyrim, did you try total conversion mods? its like having a new game really with the good ones.

That's classic.

It's good. Definitely worth it. Graphics and playstyle is a little old but the story's solid.

Vintage: any "Gold Box" D&D game... good stories, but graphics are awful by today's standards.

Classic: Baldur's Gate 1 & 2, Icewind Dale, Planescape (all are from Bioware)

Uses the same engine as the original Fallout, very well made, fascinating story. A forgotten classic.

I was pretty bummed when I couldn't find the box, so younger me made my own case.
