I think I paid about 180€ for a 160GB 2.5" HDD back in 2007/08

I paid 190€ for a 80GB SSD in 2010

I paid 80€ for a 120GB SSD in 2013

 

And I am looking forward to pay sub 200€ for a 500GB SSD in late 2013/early 2014 :D

That's interesting, I would of thought it would be more expensive, $600 isn't too bad. I remember when I bought my 480GB Intel 520 when it came out, it cost me $1000

I remember buying the original OCZ agility 128GB for 340EUR ($450)....

Because they do not need to be bigger, and current triple level flash cant handle more than 1TB.

Did you know that PCB is not even near of the size of SSD.

Depends which SSD

SSD's originate from the 70's / 80's, and the general principal is from the 50's

They where just never a valid HDD replacement for consumers until 5? years ago.
