I need to reinstall windows on my laptop but the issue is that my motherboard is a UEFI (Not sure what that means) and the guide I'm reading says that I need to format the USB to be FAT32 when setting it up to be bootable via Rufus. The only issue with this is that the OS needs to be less then 4GB but Windows 8 is just over that.

How do I go about this?

Well then don't use FAT 32, it will work.

I don't see why you need Rufus to do this. This is a good way to make a bootable USB with windows on it.

Used it before so I thought I'd use it again

You don't need it but it is up to you and the UEFI(Unified Extensible Firmware Interface) thing means the MOBO's BIOS is more interactive than just a normal BIOS(basic input output system)
