MSI GE40 vs razer blade

 

Im on the fence between these two notebooks for uni as a software engineer. never owned a notebook before, push me one way or the other, or at another laptop completely,

 

I normally use a 24 and 19 in displays side by side, I don't know if i will be able to live with a 14 inch laptop anyway.

The razer blade is overpriced imo :p so I wouldn't get that.

Aspire s7 with haswell, don't play games on it. Uni is serious business, game on your desktop instead.

You have a macbook pro? I thought we were friends.

It's a very long story that I'd rather not talk about :p but I didn't buy it myself; I kinda just... got it.

At least the Mac Book pro has an all-round quality feel to back up the large premium you pay for it. Every time I consider the razor blade i re-read the AnandTech article on it and remember how bad the TN panel is.

Fair enough ^_^ the monitor on here is beautiful and with this if you drop it and it lands on any part of you xD you're more likely to break than it.

About the razer blade: it's a phenomenal laptop, but there's one deal-breaking downside: the screen is (according to reviewers) horrible. So I wouldn't get that one.

Maybe wait for MSI to launch a smaller version of their GS70 stealth edition?
