Well i was wondering what you guys prefer when it comes to builds, and cases, do you prefer a micro atx case that still has all the features as in watercooling such as the 350D, or would you rather get something that you could throw in a regular atx board in down the line or even a Extended atx down the line? what do you prefer overall?

The benefits aren't that great anymore. My old LianLi ATX case is smaller on the outside than many mATX cases you can buy these days. I prefer compact ATX cases over roomy mATX.

exacly that. some atx case (cm 361, node 605) are smaller than mitx cases these days ... looking at you prodigy...

and i m currently using 7 slots on my board with 1 expension card i can t use , because my case can t take 8...

Anything I write is just a comment, take is as such, there is no guarantees associated with anything I say.

ATX Portable rig (smaller than prodigy(LOL)) :  Nmedia 2800 | Gigabyte Z77x-ud3h  | Corsair HX1000 | Scythe Big Shuriken | i5 3570K  |  XFX R9 290 DoubleD | Corsair Vengeance 32GB

The reason i'm going with a micro atx build is because that's the only way i can have a really nice looking 900D esk case without shelling out 300 dollars.

I think all motherboard sizes serve their purpose, but I personally would prefer having a full system with all of my extra cards, or a compact machine with an ITX board. The only problem with ITX is that onboard sound is not to the point where i feel it needs to be; at the same time I do have an external mix-amp for my headphones so problem solved. :p
